Summary

The project involves an HVDC interconnector with bipolar converter stations. Each station has two identical poles, with the other station being a mirror image. One set of layout and elevation drawings will be prepared and replicated with necessary modifications. The scope focuses on HV Indoor AIS bays only, excluding the overall site layout. The project is in the early (Base Design) Stage.Currently, layouts and one set of elevations have been prepared and shared with the direct client. Final amendments are pending.The CDAE team will consist of a Senior HV Plant Engineer, a Junior Engineer, and a CAD/3D technician. Design management, interface management, and document control will be handled externally, but CDAE input is expected when necessary.

Key Objectives

Act as HV AIS Plant CDAE as per relevant standards for the specified scope and fulfill requirements according to the project specification.

Review, comment on, and approve HV Primary plant deliverables up to IFC stage, including:

DID

Layouts & Elevations (including MEWP and access layouts)

Plant technical specifications

Earthing & details (studies and report by others)

B/B forces calculations

B/B and connectors schedules

Label schedules, label drawings, etc.

We are seeking an ambitious Substation/Primary Layout Engineer to join our expanding power team in the DACH region. As a Senior Substation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and planning transmission level onshore substations at voltages from 110kV to 400kV.

Key Objectives

Producing substation primary layouts

Developing primary equipment specifications

Performing equipment rating calculations

Conducting busbar short circuit force calculations

Carrying out earthing studies and impressed voltage calculations

Creating material specification lists

Executing fault calculations

Designing P&C wiring diagrams

Determining protection requirements

Conducting system modeling

Requirements

Full working proficiency in German

Good level of English

Experience in HV power transmission systems, HVDC interconnectors, or HV renewable energy infrastructure in the DACH region

About the Role

The HV Design Engineer will lead the end-to-end design process for high-voltage (HV) systems, specializing in either HV cable design or HV primary design. Key Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain detailed HV cable or primary designs.
